Oh did I forget to say it collects info on you that it may or may not use to build a unique identifier that they totally don't sell to google or other mega corps to help them build a profile on you along with who knows what other data they collect? This is just securom 2.0. But hey pirates can still play it happily without a care in the world. Don't forget limited installs (hardware swap), potential spying, requiring online connection for offline play, requiring to radio in on the server to play the game at all so if their server goes down so does the game.
No matter how small the effect is, it still something that pirated copies don't have to cope with.
